Maasai Mara

The Maasai Mara is a large ancestral region of the Maasai people who migrated from the Nile basin, inhabited by lions, leopards, black and white rhinos, and African bush elephants. The Maasai pastoralist way of life puts cattle at the forefront. Expansion of human settlements, human and wildlife conflict with elephants, illegal poaching, and increasing drought due to climate change are major issues. The Maasai are facing many land issues and water shortages.

Our Approach:

Helping with legal support against land invasions and supporting drought issues will be our approach, to help keep the Maasai ways intact.

Our Support:

Grant to the Loita division in Narok district to reduce droughts and support rainwater catchment for pastoralists and their cattle
